Help for new landholders
18 May 2016
Are you new to the world of owning livestock? Are you interested in owning and/or trading livestock but do not understand the requirements and systems that you need to use? Do the terms Property Identification Code, National Livestock Identification System, National Vendor Declaration and Transported Stock Statement confuse you?
South East Local Land Services is offering short workshops to introduce land managers to the requirements and systems associated with owning and trading livestock in NSW.
Senior Land Services Officer, Rebecca Bradley said the free workshops will be led by Livestock Officer, John O’Connor and will provide an opportunity for participants to understand how to meet the legal responsibilities associated with owning and trading livestock.
“Participants can also put their livestock, pest animal and plant and animal health questions to Local Land Services’ livestock management specialists on the day,” Mrs Bradley said.
Workshops will be held at Braidwood and Bungendore.
