Wild dog management workshops

The south east region's future wild dog management arrangements will be discussed at a forthcoming workshop to be held at Cooma, hosted by South East Local Land Services.

South East Local Land Services General Manager, Derek Larsen said the organisation is currently reviewing the region's wild dog management arrangements.

"South East Local Land Services is working with its partners the rural community and land management agencies to develop long-term models for wild dog control in south east NSW which are supported by the rural community, meet the needs of key partners, and are financially sustainable," Mr Larsen said.

"The Cooma workshop is one of three to be held across the south east region.

"The workshops will provide an opportunity for stakeholder discussion and input into South East Local Land Services' wild dog management review.

"They will also provide the organisation with a detailed understanding of the range of community views regarding wild dog control and the community's longer term management vision," Mr Larsen said.

The Cooma workshop will be held at the Alpine Hotel, 170 Sharp Street, at 9.45 am on Tuesday, 21 July 2015.
